OFFICIAL RULES – ANNIE SIGNED NOVELIZATION GIVEAWAY

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Void outside the Geographic Area (defined below) and where prohibited. ANNIE Signed Novelization Giveaway (“Contest”) will begin on December 09, 2013, by 4:00 P.M. ET and end on January 05, 2014 at 11:59 P.M. ET (“Contest Period”). All times in Contest refer to Eastern Time (“ET”). Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

ELIGIBILITY: In order to enter the ANNIE Signed Novelization Giveaway (“Contest”) you must be a citizen and legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia, and at least 13 years of age at time of entry.  Officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of ANNIE The Musical (“ANNIE”), Situation Interactive and Facebook and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, advertising and promotional agencies and all of their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household as any of them are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT: Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. We retain sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate or fair content.

RIGHTS: By entering the contest, entrants agree to have their submitted name displayed on our website and used by us for any purpose, at any time, without any fee or other form of compensation. Judges reserve the final right to disqualify users, without notice, and for any reason.

TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, during the Contest Period visit the “ANNIE” Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AnnieTheMusical and respond to up to five (5) contest questions. Entries must be received before 11:59 P.M. ET on the day of the Facebook post(s) to be eligible. Contest posts will appear Monday, December 9, 2013; Monday, December 16, 2013; Monday, December 23, 2013; Monday December 30, 2013 and Sunday, January 5, 2014. Sponsors’ computer shall be the official timekeeper for all matters related to this Contest. Entries received other than within these time periods will be disqualified without exception, including any delay caused by malfunction of any email transmission or internet facilities or mail delivery delay causing late receipt by “ANNIE.”

Limit one (1) Entry per person/email address/question during the Contest Period. Multiple Entries received from any person/email address beyond this limit will void all such additional Entries. Entries generated by a script, macro, or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or unintelligible for any reason, including, but not limited to, computer or network malfunction or congestion, are void and will not be accepted.  In case of a dispute over the identity of an entrant who made a potentially winning Entry, Sponsors reserve the right to deem that the Entry was made by the registered subscriber of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use entrant’s name, city, state, likeness, image, and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity in any and all media now or hereafter known, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, permission, or approval. 

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: On Tuesday, December 10; Tuesday, December 17; Tuesday, December 24; Tuesday, December 31 and Monday, January 6, one (1) potential winner (“Winner”) will be selected from all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period. The winner will be announced on https://www.facebook.com/AnnieTheMusical.

PRIZE: Each of the five (5) winners will receive a copy of the ANNIE Novelization signed by Thomas Meehan.

REDEMPTION: The Prize must be accepted as awarded. Prize is not transferable or refundable, in whole or in part, and has no cash value. Prize will be void and forfeited if any part thereof is transferred or sold for cash. Winner may not make any substitutions. “ANNIE” reserves the right to substitute an item of equal or greater value in the event the advertised Prize is unavailable. Winner will be given 72 hours from notification to confirm acceptance of prize. Prize can be confirmed via message to the ANNIE on Broadway Facebook page, or by email to support@anniethemusical.com. Noncompliance, refusal, or return of Prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification.  In the event the winner does not or cannot accept Prize, “ANNIE” will select an alternate winner for Prize.  

CONDITIONS: By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees for entrant and for entrant’s heirs, executors, and administrators (a) to release and hold harmless Contest Entities and their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use Prize (including any travel related thereto); (b) to indemnify Released Parties from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Contest and to hereby acknowledge that Released Parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to Prize, including express warranties provided exclusively by the Prize supplier that are sent along with Prize; (c) if selected as a Winner, to the posting of such entrant’s name on the Website and the use by Released Parties of such name, voice, image, and/or likeness for publicity, promotional, and advertising purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification, permission or approval and, upon request, to the giving of consent, in writing, to such use; and (d) to be bound by these Official Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error herein or in the Contest itself, and to be bound by all actions of the Sponsors, whose decisions are binding and final on all matters related to this Contest. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disqualification from the Contest at Sponsors’ sole discretion.

ADDITIONAL TERMS: Sponsors reserve the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion any person they believe has intentionally violated these Official Rules.  Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest or operation thereof is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsors, who may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The failure of Sponsors to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations), or other “force majeure” event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer and/or telephone relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, mobile telephone service, or computer failures of any kind; for inaccurate transcription of entry information; for errors in any promotional, marketing, score notification, potential winner notification, or prize notification or fulfillment materials or in these Official Rules; for any human or electronic error; or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed, lost, late, damaged, or returned.  Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest or element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Rules) without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, in the event of any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Rules).  In the event of cancellation, suspension, or modification, Sponsors reserve the right to select Winner from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event warranting such cancellation, suspension, or modification. Notice of such cancellation, suspension, or modification will be posted on the Website. Sponsors may prohibit any entrant or potential entrant from participating in the Contest, if such entrant or potential entrant shows a disregard for these Official Rules; acts with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant, Sponsors, or Sponsors’ agents or representatives; or behaves in any other disruptive manner (as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion).

PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of two (2) tickets to ANNIE on Broadway on starring Jane Lynch (at a performance prior to July 14, 2013); two (2) nights’ accommodation at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel; two (2) round trip Air Transportation tickets courtesy of American Airlines (See AMERICAN AIRLINES PRIZE DETAILS); an onstage tour at the Palace Theatre. If Grand Prize winner lives within 150 miles of New York, City, ground or train transportation will be provided at the discretion of sponsor.

AMERICAN AIRLINES PRIZE DETAILS: Two (2) Roundtrip Coach Class Travel Authorization Certificates (each a “Travel Certificate”) on American Airlines or their Airline Associates (American Eagle or the AmericanConnection® carriers to/from any city served by American Airlines or their Airline Associates in the 48 contiguous United States, Canada and Caribbean.  The approximate retail value (ARV) is $750 per Travel Certificate for a total $1,500 per prize (or Grand Prize).  Winners are responsible for the full cost of transportation to and from the closest American Airlines departure city and their place of residence. Winners are responsible for any and all applicable fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges, all insurance, federal, state, local and foreign taxes, if any, gratuities, meals, incidentals and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the Prize. Some of these taxes, fees and other amounts may be due upon booking/ticketing the Travel Certificates. Embargo dates and other restrictions may apply and are subject to change. Prizes are provided “as is” and without any warranty of any kind. Prizes are non-transferable. No cash redemption or prize substitution allowed by winner.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize becomes unavailable; provided no such substitute prize shall be from American without its prior written consent.

AMERICAN AIRLINES TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION CERTIFICATE TERMS: Each Travel Certificate may be used to purchase air travel wholly on American Airlines or its Airline Associates.  Travel Certificates are redeemable for air travel sold and originating in the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States.  Travel Certificates are not returnable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law. Lost, stolen or damaged Travel Certificates will not be replaced.  Travel Certificates have no implied warranties and are not credit or debit cards.  Travel Certificate redemption is based on availability at the time of reservation, and must adhere to applicable embargoed dates.  Each Travel Certificate is valid for one (1) year from the date issued.  Expiration date cannot be extended.  Travel using Travel Certificates does not qualify for American Airlines AAdvantage® mileage credit or elite status. American Airlines is not responsible for products or services offered by other participating companies. AMERICAN AIRLINES TRAVEL TERMS: Travel for the Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion(s) must take place within one (1) year from the date the Travel Certificates are issued.  If the Grand Prize winner is unable to travel by this date, the Grand Prize will be forfeited.  Travel must originate and end at the airport nearest the Grand Prize winner’s home that is served by American Airlines or their Airline Associates.  Travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of American Airlines.  Winner’s guests must be 18 years of age or older if not a member of winner’s immediate family and will be required to execute and return a liability/publicity release (which must also be signed by such guest’s parent or legal guardian, if minor) prior to travel. The Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion(s) must travel together on the same itinerary, including the same departure date, destination and return date.  No stopovers are permitted on tickets issued as a prize; if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate at the stopover point and full fare will be charged for the remaining segments, including the return, of the trip. CONDITIONS: By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees for entrant and for entrant’s heirs, executors, and administrators (a) to release and hold harmless Contest Entities and their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use Prize (including any travel related thereto); (b) to indemnify Released Parties from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Contest and to hereby acknowledge that Released Parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to Prize, including express warranties provided exclusively by the Prize supplier that are sent along with Prize; (c) if selected as a Winner, to the posting of such entrant’s name on the Website and the use by Released Parties of such name, voice, image, and/or likeness for publicity, promotional, and advertising purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification, permission or approval and, upon request, to the giving of consent, in writing, to such use; and (d) to be bound by these Official Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error herein or in the Contest itself, and to be bound by all actions of the Sponsors, whose decisions are binding and final on all matters related to this Contest. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disqualification from the Contest at Sponsors’ sole discretion.

ADDITIONAL TERMS: Sponsors reserve the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion any person they believe has intentionally violated these Official Rules.  Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest or operation thereof is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsors, who may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The failure of Sponsors to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations), or other “force majeure” event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer and/or telephone relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, mobile telephone service, or computer failures of any kind; for inaccurate transcription of entry information; for errors in any promotional, marketing, score notification, potential winner notification, or prize notification or fulfillment materials or in these Official Rules; for any human or electronic error; or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed, lost, late, damaged, or returned.  Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest or element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Rules) without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, in the event of any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Rules).  In the event of cancellation, suspension, or modification, Sponsors reserve the right to select Winner from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event warranting such cancellation, suspension, or modification. Notice of such cancellation, suspension, or modification will be posted on the Website. Sponsors may prohibit any entrant or potential entrant from participating in the Contest, if such entrant or potential entrant shows a disregard for these Official Rules; acts with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant, Sponsors, or Sponsors’ agents or representatives; or behaves in any other disruptive manner (as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion).
